This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer at a consulting engineering firm specializing in building design across commercial, institutional, industrial, and high-rise residential projects. The role involves leading electrical design efforts from concept through construction—managing project teams, coordinating with other disciplines, preparing and reviewing contract documents, performing technical studies, and ensuring designs meet code, budget, and schedule requirements while maintaining high quality and constructability standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 7+ years of experience with Electrical Engineering design for commerical, institutional, and/or industrial buildings
- 7+ years of experience with design for power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy systems
- 7+ years of experience with Revit & AutoCAD design for Electrical/BIM
- 1+ years in a lead or senior role supervising jr engineers & cad designers including redlining
- Experience with ACG32 (or related)
- Experience with SKM (or related)
- Strong communications (client facing)
- PE License ( or willing to get/transfer to IA)
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Experience with LEED principles for building design
- Experience with project management and signing or sealing off on engineering documents
- Experience with business development
- MS in Electrical Engineering or similar
