The Application Engineer is responsible for designing solutions for challenging water treatment applications and acting as a consultant to internal and external stakeholders prior to project award. 

This entails several key responsibilities, including evaluating customer specifications to determine treatment solutions, creating accurate BOMs and cost estimates, and meeting bid and proposal deadlines. It also involves conducting operational tests and interpreting technical documents.

The role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and generating preliminary diagrams. Providing engineering support and seeking external resources for problem-solving is vital. Occasional travel to customer sites or trade shows may be necessary, making up around 5% of the job’s duties.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as an Applications Engineer or relate
2+ years of experience designing pipling systems, PFD, P&ID and layout drawings
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with creating BOM’s and capital operating cost estimates
Experience performing calculations needed for drawing creation
Experience with client facing situations and customer service
Ok with 10% travel
AS in Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with water treatment membrane process or related in the Water Industry
Experience with equipment sourcing and procurement
3 year average at each company candidate worked at
BS in Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Salary Range: $80,000 to $120,000 DOE
