The Applications Engineer serves as the primary interface between the company and its customers and manufacturer’s representatives. This position requires a strong combination of technical expertise and communication skill to promote and sell engineered air pollution systems and air pollution products.
Primarily, they will be working with their scrubber systems that they manufacture. The applications engineer is responsible for the validation and formalization of customer requests, preliminary design activities, generation of estimates and proposal documents, and order procurement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
2+ years of experience as an applications engineer or related with machines or industrial equipment
Experience writing proposals (very important), generating estimates, and order procurement
Experience providing technical expertise to customers and manufacturing reps
Experience with any kind of CAD software
Strong client facing, customer relations, and business development experience
Ok with 25% travel to customer sites
Experience with MS Office Suite and any CRM systems
BS in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with applications or project engineering in air pollution control, thermal treatment, or related field
Experience with incorporating mass and heat transfer theory and product line selection
Experience working with industrial scrubber systems
MS in Engineering

Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 + Sales Bonus
