The Assistant Plant Controller has various responsibilities, including ensuring compliance with safe work practices and supporting improvement actions based on the Global Safety Audit. They manufacture automotive interior components and systems such as instrument panels and consoles, door systems, headliner and overhead systems, and cockpit and console systems.
They are involved in financial reporting, such as preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, forecasts, and strategic planning. Internal controls and SOX compliance are audited and supported at the plant level, while adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies is assured, and questions regarding GAAP and internal controls are resolved with corporate financial management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years experience in the manufacturing environment
Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Experience analyzing financial statements, interpret and recommend courses of action
Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP)
Experience creating Daily, Weekly & Monthly financial reports
Experience creating monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years experience with an automotive manufacturer
Experience with audits and internal controls for SOX compliance at the plant level
Experience with Account Reconciliations for accounts on a monthly basis
CPA certification
MBA in finance or related
