The Automation Controls Engineer will ensure proper installation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective operation. This position will report to the Plant Manager.
They will troubleshoot and upgrade manufacturing equipment controls, lead in the installation of controls and auxiliaries on production equipment, and perform routine system administration and maintenance activities (such as system monitoring, backup, etc.) for control networks and Allen-Bradley PLC Systems. The manufacture building and construction products (gypsum and cement board).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as a Controls or Automation Engineer with high volume production/process equipment
3+ years of experience in PLC troubleshooting
3+ years of experience with Allen Bradley systems experience (RSLogix)
Experience with Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming Servos & VFD drives
Experience with AutoCAD
Working knowledge of industrial electricity (power distribution, motor controls, etc.)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience as a Plant Engineer for the gypsum industry
Experience with Yaskawa controllers
BS in Engineering (BSEE preferred)
