The Automation Technician is a Night Shift role that will be supporting the Automation Controls Engineer and is a plant based role. They will support the design, development, programming and implementation of process control systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and plant facilities for full compliance with FDA regulations. They will be troubleshooting PLC”s and HMI's for their equipment that manufactures inhaled therapeutic products for patients with diseases such as diabetes and pulmonary arterial hypertension. They are NOT an OEM, and most of their equipment is already installed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
2+ years of experience as a plant Controls or Automation Engineer in a regulated manufacturing environment
2+ years of experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC's & HMI's
Experience with vision systems, robotics, and Visual Basic
Experience with installation, commissioning, and debugging
Ok with Night Shift
AS in Engineering (ASEE preferred) or formal training
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience as a controls engineer for pharmaceutical equipment
Experience with SCADA systems
Experience with Panelview, RSView SE, RSBatch, Asset Centre, EPAS-4 or Wonderware
Experience with FDA cGMPs, GAMP & 21 CFR part 11 validation requirements
Experience with networks such as EtherNet, DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus
Knowledge of ISA S88 and S95
Experience developing batch processes, pure water systems, compressed air systems, HVAC systems, Filling Units, Lyophilizers, Freezers and Refrigerators
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
