The Controls Project Engineer is responsible for the performance and profitability of the control system related technical aspects of assigned projects for their custom automated welding equipment (i.e. – electrical, safety, pneumatics, hydraulics, water, welding, lubrication, and programming).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience custom automated equipment controls design, build, implementation, debug, and troubleshooting
5+ years of experience with project engineering or project management
5+ years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLC's & HMI's
Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and debugging equipment
Experience with component specification, component sizing, power distribution, load calculations
Experience with panel layouts, I/O, sensors, AC/DC drives, and SERVOS
Experience with AutoCAD
Ok with 15% travel
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with assembly equipment for manufacturing and factory floor automation
Experience programming ABB, Fanuc, or Yaskawa/Motoman robotics
Experience with SCADA
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or E-Plan
Experience with hydraulic systems and lubrication systems
MS in Electrical Engineering or related
