The EHS Specialist to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a safe working environment. They manufacture automotive interior components and systems such as instrument panels and consoles, door systems, headliner and overhead systems, and cockpit and console systems.
Main responsibilities will include maintaining facility compliance with MIOSHA, MDEQ, and MDOT regulations, overseeing safety training programs, managing Workers' Compensation cases, conducting incident investigations, coordinating environmental programs, and submitting required reports to regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating emergency action plans, ensuring compliance with hazardous waste regulations, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in line with HR department standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as an ESH specialist or Environment, Health & Safety field
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with ISO14001
Experience with proper recordkeeping of safety training programs for employees
Experience with record keeping for OSHA and Workers Comp cases
BS/BA in anything OR 8 years Environment, Health & Safety experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with an automotive manufacturer
Experience with MIOSHA, MDEQ, & MDOT regulations
Experience with 40 CFR and 49 CFR
Experience certifying employees on First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogen training
Certifications in the Environment, Health & Safety field
