The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing electrical systems for their missile systems, aerostructures, electronics and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) that they manufacture. This role involves designing, analyzing, and testing electrical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. They will also be ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical systems, from concept through to production, including re-engineering existing products to meet customer requirements and specifications.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the EDE will create detailed electrical schematics and drawings, specifying components and materials, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, they will participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize designs for performance and efficiency.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
ITAR COMPLIANT: US Citizen or Green Card holders only
5+ years of experience as a Electrical Design Engineer for regulated manufacturing
5+ years of experience PCB design and layout
Experience in the defense industry, DoD, or related
Experience with electrical simulation software and tools
Knowledge of defense industry regulations and standards
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with defense programs such as missile systems and loitering munitions
Experience with EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red) systems
Experience with SPICE, ANSYS, or COMSOL
Experience with Python and C language
Experience with engineering leadership roles
Six Sigma certification
Active Security Clearance or Inactive Security Clearance (can be reinstated)
MS in Electrical Engineering or related
Salary Range: $120,000 to $180,000 DOE
Bonus: Annual bonus negotiated at offer stage
