The day shift Electrical Engineer will maintain the electrical control systems for the current equipment and any new equipment that needs to be installed. This is a plant based position that will ensure equipment is running properly, commissioning, design of controls via AutoCAD, programming PLC's, HMI's, servos, and inverter drives for all their equipment that manufacturers of glass and glazing products for the architectural, automotive and technical glass sectors.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as controls engineer for industrial manufacturing
3+ years of experience programming PLC's & HMI's with Allen Bradley
Experience programming inverter and servo drives, and robots
Experience with commissioning
Experience with AutoCAD
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working for a glass and glazing manufacturer, ovens or kilns
Experience designing electrical circuits for use in industrial controls
Experience programming with Siemens, Yaskawa, or TECO
Experience in as an electrical controls supervisor
Project management experience
Experience with 5S, Kaizens, Kanban, Problem Solving (8D / 5-Why), Six Sigma, ME360, Gemba Walks
