The Electrical Field Engineer, Controls & Automation will work on capital projects including new installations and modifications and is responsible for all electrical equipment components and systems for their manufacturing operation that makes siding products for residential and commercial buildings. This person must have extensive working knowledge of design, function, implementation, maintenance, and sustainability of all electrical & controls equipment components and systems in a heavy manufacturing environment. There is 50% travel that is mostly local and regional.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience specifying & installing electrical equipment and automation controls for industrial manufacturing equipment
3+ years of experience SCRATCH programming PLC's & HMI's
Experience with Allen Bradley, Wonderware, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and MicroLogix controllers
Project Management Experience with planning, budgeting, execution, scheduling, design and specification
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing electrical control systems on continuous production machine systems
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with sheeted process systems such as paper, steel, or gypsum
Experience with computer network system installation and troubleshooting
Knowledge of database systems for process control applications
Experience with Siemens
