The Engineering Manager will lead the continuous improvement programs in precision injection molding and fabrication manufacturing techniques for their medical device products. This person will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading programs to improve overall operations productivity from prototype to completion. They will review designs for gages, fixtures, and jigs as needed and participate in internal Quality Audit programs to ensure products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and customer service.
The Engineering Manager will assist in the selection, ordering, and implementation of new equipment and facility improvements as required. They will also train, coach, and mentor personnel to raise their level of understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Quality, and Continuous improvement concepts.
The Engineering Manager will ensure that the documentation control process is implemented through the project development cycle, and aid in the development and implementation of Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering programs to improve overall operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as Engineering Manager in Manufacturing or Engineering
Experience with medical device manufacturing
Experience with plastic injection molding processes and qualifications
Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, FMEA, & GD&T
Experience with project management
BS in Engineering (BSME preferred)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Solidworks
Experience with ISO 13485:2016
Experience with SPC, Minitab, Statistical Analysis
Experience with IQMS MRP software
Bilingual with Spanish
Certifications with Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ or CQE, Management and Problem-Solving Techniques courses
