The Manufacturing Engineer reviews Assembly Services (AS) designs to ensure they meet quality standards, product specifications, feasibility for build, health and safety standards. The Manufacturing Engineer ensures accuracy and completeness of Bills of Material and Routings used to provide guidance and requirements to the manufacturing floor for the production of assembled products.
They are a high mix low volume manufacturing operation for specialty fluid system products such as fittings, valves, and hoses. The Manufacturing Engineer continually assesses AS tools, machines, equipment, process, controls, and maintenance to ensure adequacy and initiate potential improvements.
The ME will spend their time as such = 25% fixturing design, 25% process improvements, 25% documentation, and 25% other responsibilities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer for regulated manufacturing
Experience with new product introduction
Experience reviewing new designs for manufacturability
Experience with Solidworks for fixturing design
Experience with process improvements and creating documentation
BS in Mechancial Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience in manufacturing for high mix/low volume, mechanical components or related
Experience with manufacturing for fluid system components
Experience with welding process and welding specification (ASME, AWS, ISO) knowledgeable
Experience performing daily equipment and process validations
Experience creating and managing BOM’s and routings with SAP
Experience managing engineering change orders ECO’s
Experience with hands-on 3D Printing capabilities and knowledge
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, quality assurance
Salary Range: $125,000 to $160,000 DOE
