The Manufacturing Lead Engineer will be leading a team of five to seven machine maintenance and repair professionals which includes both managerial and hands-on responsibilities for their flexible printing operation for food packaging. They will be responsbile for assuring that all the machines are maintained and in outstanding working order; assessing project requirements, measuring performance of mechanical components, devices and systems.
Implement and maintain a total preventive maintenance program for all equipment. Manage the creation of technical documents including prints, manuals, software and programs. Manage and install capital improvement projects and assist in the design, purchase and installation of production equipment. Troubleshoot PLC’s, AC/DC drive systems, tension and heat control loops as necessary.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, printing, converting, or paper production environment
5+ years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment
Experience managing repair technicians, maintenance technicians, mechanics, or similar employees
Experience troubleshooting PLC’s, with AC/DC drive systems, tension, sensors and heat control loops
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Food packaging, Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals, Beverages, Pet products, Personal Care, or Pool and Chemical Industries
Experience as a Manager or Lead in the printing or manufacturing industry
Experience reviewing or recommending SOP’s for that insure safety and efficiency for maintenance production equipment
Experience customizing or enhancing current or previous equipment to increase production and efficiency
MS in Engineering
Salary Range: $80,000 to $115,000 DOE
