The Plant Engineer will plans, implement, and oversee plant-engineering activities including capital projects and facility upgrades for their coated, laminated and converted films, foils and papers that they design and manufacture. This is also called web handiling. They will be involved in design for equipment layout, and at times, design brackets to secure equipment to the floor, and support for mechanical and process engineering.
They are responsible for the installation and implementation of new or upgraded plant and processing equipment, troubleshooting and continual improvements for existing equipment and processes. Secures bids for services and equipment and functions as the project manager for specific capital projects. Write equipment specifications for new and upgraded equipment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
10+ years of experience as a Plant Engineer with manufacturing equipment
3+ years of experience with leading, designing, and implementing process engineering projects or process evaluation and modification
Experience with mainteance for manufacturing and facilites equipment
Experience chemical handling and thermal drying
Experience with mechanical design, industrial electronics, and plant layout
Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC troubleshooting
Experience with AutoCAD or Solidworks
Familiar with NFPA processes
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with web handling and roll to roll web coating
Experience with textile manufacturing or float glass manufacturing
Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC’s
Experience with creadle to grave projects
Experience with CAPA projects
Six Sigma certifications
Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 DOE
