Process Controls Senior Project Engineer with a vision for Industry 4.0, digital transformation within manufacturing, and large-scale enterprise projects. Must be able to work independently to prepare and manage the development of all systems integration and controls related project deliverables, ensures project deliverable quality, develop and maintain client relationships, and perform required project related tasks.
The Process Controls Senior Project Engineer provides leadership, manages projects, leads and participates in meetings, provides feedback to management, engineering and project team members. This person will also mentor and direct other engineers, engage in I 4.0 thought leadership circles, and is responsible for control system related engineering calculations, systems integration, control system concepts, design development and implementation.
This is NOT a heavy programming position, but is heavy design, control panel layouts, electrical systems, lighting familiarity, bringing power to the production lines, and specifying the control equipment hardware.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years’ experience with high speed sortation for material handling or conveyor systems
5+ years’ experience designing hardware & software for controls systems
Experience with system design, control panel design & power distribution
Experience with test loop design
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls platforms
Experience HMI’s and networks (Profibus, Ethernet, DeviceNet)
Willing to travel 30%
