The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and modifying process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards. They will be required to recommend and implement improvements, modifications or additions to document work and revise product requirements to determine costs and schedules. The Process Engineer will be responsible for integrating equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
They will optimize injection, foaming, and other manufacturing processes to improve quality, safety, and profitability. Also, will be responsible for primary tooling and providing internal and external customers with documented proposals to enhance design, machinery, methods, and materials.
They manufacture automotive interior components and systems such as instrument panels and consoles, door systems, headliner and overhead systems, and cockpit and console systems.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
2+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or related
Experience with process improvements for manufacturing equipment
Experience with FMEA, feasibility studies, and line layouts
Experience communicating with customers
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working with automotive interior systems manufacturing
Experience with injection molding or foaming systems
Experience revising product requirements and product development compatibility or processing methods to determine costs and schedules
Experience implementing and maintaining process control systems and operating procedures
Six Sigma certifications
