The Process Engineering Manager manages a team of 6 Process Engineers and Specialists, reports to the Plant Manager. This position is responsible for developing, testing, modifying, and creating solutions to technical problems in the plant for their plastic extrusion and polymer extrusion products. One of many products is a netting for reverse osmosis filtrations, netting products, and food packaging to name a few.
Responsible for the development and implementation of productivity projects to reduce costs and improve business profitability. The Plant Manager recently put in a process controls system and needs to integrate that with the QMS system they have which will be part of the PEM's challenges.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience with focus on continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience with engineering and project management
Experience as a Change Leader or Agent of Change: Identify, initiate, execute, control, and audit
Experience with quantitative analysis, models for decision-making and problem solving (get example)
Able to conduct research, prepare comprehensive reports and present complex statistical information in a clear and succinct fashion
BS in Engineering = Client will consider non-engineering degree if they have solid process improvement manufacturing background
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with plastic extrusion, polymer, automotive, or pharma manufacturing
Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
Experience with Statistical Analysis, Polymer Processing, Production Scale Extrusion
Experience managing up to 6 direct reports
Six Sigma Certification
