The Project Engineer is responsible for project management and process engineering services to produce building and construction products (gypsum and cement board). The position will involve projects in their full scope from initial estimating, proposal submission, construction and start-up. The position will also be available to assist manufacturing plants with safety, quality, process optimization and productivity improvements. Project Engineer duties include SOPs, BOMs, installation of equipment, capital budgets, scheduling, and annual audits.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as a Plant/Process/Project Engineer in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
2+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs
2+ years of experience with AutoCAD
Experience with industrial electricity (power distribution, motor controls, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Ok with 25% travel to support project installations & startup
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience as a Plant or Project Engineer for the gypsum industry
Experience in wallboard or equivalent manufacturing plant and process
Experience with Yaskawa controllers
Previous management experience with direct and non-direct reports (5-15)
Salary Range: $70,000 to $120,000 DOE
