The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and identifying areas for streamlining the inspection cycle time to improve inspection throughput without sacrificing quality. They will evaluate process turnback data and initiate cross-functional action plans or process improvements. Developing work standards by part number/family to improve inspection efficiencies is a critical aspect of the role. Also, they will be responsible for conducting internal customer audits and external certification audits, including FAA audits.
They do not manufacture at this location and outsource everything and bring in products from their suppliers that go into the quality department. Products could be literally anything on or in a plane, from the nose to the tail of the plane, and from wing to wing, also could be anything exterior or interior. Literally, anything on or in a plane.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience working in quality for aerospace manufacturing or related
Knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, policies and procedures
Knowledge of ISO quality standards for aerospace (AS9100)
Experience with MS Office Suite specifically Excel
ITAR COMPLIANT: US Citizen or green card holder only
OK with 10-15% travel
