The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and participating in the improvement of quality systems. They will be responsible for developing and presenting QA presentation materials to various stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. Also, support and assist Senior Quality Assurance Engineers and Quality Assurance Managers in their tasks.
In addition, the Quality Engineer will conduct quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. They will capture and analyze statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
They manufacture automotive interior components and systems such as instrument panels and consoles, door systems, headliner and overhead systems, and cockpit and console systems.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
1+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the automotive industry or related
Experience working with customers and suppliers
Experience capturing and analyzing statistical data from manufacturing processes
Experience with quality control inspections on materials, components, or parts
Experience with QMS systems
BS in Engineering, or BA in anything
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working with automotive interior systems manufacturing
Experience developing and training engineers/technicians on quality systems
Experience to perform FMEA, DOE, or 8D
Experience supervising QA Techs or QA Engineers
ASQ or CQE certifications
