The Sales Engineer will be a technical point of contact between their clients and the engineering team for a metals distribution company. The SE will receive a package or bill of materials from the client, then will review blue prints and put together a supply chain for that package. That means matching the processes from what they see on the blue prints with the processes that are available to the industry. They will be working with the engineering team and vendors to accomplish the client's order.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
1+ year of experience in a metals or parts manufacturing environment
Experience with sales, customer service, and presents well
Experience reading blue prints
Experience with any CAD software
Experience writing proposals and basic accounting
Experience in drawing interpretation (tolerances, materials, and processes)
Understanding of all elements of a manufacturing supply chain
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working in fabrication for metals manufacturing
Experience as a Sales or Applications Engineer
Experience setting up supply chains for customer BOM's
Experience with Quality standards a plus (ISO9001)
