The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will work with the process engineering team to make improvements to existing workflows, equipment and will contribute to the design of any new line additions or facilities for their frozen food products that they make.
Specifically, they have an expansion infrastructure project at the plant that is upgrading/installing a wastewater system, refrigeration system, steam system, and air compressor system. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design that will tie all these systems together like pieces to a puzzle. This position will require 50% office work and 50% field work on the production floor.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience with mechanical engineering for manufacturing systems
Experience working with design codes and standards such as PIP and ASME
Experience with wastewater and refrigeration systems in manufacturing
Experience designing systems to integrate equipment to process requirements
Experience with any mechanical CAD software
BS in Mechanical Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience integrating all four wastewater, refrigeration, steam, air compressors systems for manufacturing
Experience with mechanical design software ASPEN, PIPE-FLO, and ANSYS
Experience leading the mechanical engineering portion of any capital project from feasibility through execution
Experience development of piping and instrumentation diagrams, piping material specifications, piping isometric diagrams and equipment data sheets
Experience performing piping hydraulics calculations, size of related equipment including control valves, pressure valves, heat exchangers, pumps, boilers, ammonia chillers, wastewater treatment plants, and compressors
