The Plant Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the plant’s systems and equipment are functioning properly and efficiently. This includes planning, designing, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. They will plan and coordinate activities concerned with the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery. They will also maintain safety compliance for operations throughout the facility.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
5+ years of experience in an engineering role working with automated equipment in a manufacturing facility
Experience with troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic systems on automated manufacturing equipment
Experience with implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs
Experience with commissioning capital equipment
Experience with project management (capital projects or continuous improvement)
Experience with maintaining OSHA safety compliance
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with paper or textile manufacturing
Experinece managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment
Experience with selection and purchasing of capital equipment
Experinece with CAD software
