The Controls Design Engineer is responsible for the development of alarm and control schematics, layouts and designs of oil type transformers utilizing electrical design principles, appropriate industry standards and company design practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
1+ year of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or related working with controls for power related products
1+ year of experience with CAD software for control wiring design (AutoCAD is a plus)
Experience with part and component selection for control systems
Experience with transformers, switchgear, or related power system components
Experience with reading and understanding power system schematics
Experience with testing and validation of electrical systems
Understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NEMA and NEC codes and standards
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with oil type transformer design
Experience with project management
Experience with material resource planning (MRP) software
Experience mentoring younger engineers
