The Controls Engineer is responsible for developing and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery in a Tier 1 automotive supplier manufacturing facility. This will include PLC and HMI programming, AC and DC drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, primarily on equipment for injection molding and extrusion.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience with programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC’s
Experience with programming and troubleshooting HMI’s
Experience with AC and DC drives
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience with industrial network protocols such as Ethernet/IP or DeviceNET
BS in Electrical Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier
Experience with injection molding equipment and processes
Experience with programming Siemens PLCs and HMI
