The Product Development/R&D Mechanical Engineer performs hands-on product design, analysis, and technical development for new capital machinery products for the food manufacturing industry. They will be tasked with taking customer requirements and industry innovation into product specifications and technical solutions.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing industrial equipment
10+ years of experience with 3D CAD design (Inventor is a plus)
5+ years of experience with finite element analysis (FEA)
Recent experience with machine design for manufacturing
Experience with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5
Experience with PDM software (Vault is a plus)
BS in Mechanical Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with designing food processing equipment
Experience with thermal analysis using CFD
Experience with designing combustion devices
