The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the development of mechanical designs of oil type transformers utilizing mechanical design principles, appropriate industry standards, and company design practices.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing power distribution parts or equipment
3+ years of experience with 3D sign using AutoCAD or Inventor
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and stress analysis
Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
Familiar with ANSI and NEC standards
BS in Mechanical Engineering

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with transformer or switchgear design

Sr. Mechanical Designer Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer can be a remote position or physically at the office, and will work with the turbomachinery engineering design and development group and the design CAD department for the design of advanced turbomachinery components such as pumps, turbines, or compressors.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment
2+ years of experience with mechanical design for turbomachinery such as pumps, turbines, or compressors
2+ years of experience with Solidworks for 3D design and simulation
Experience with using GD&T to create and review manufacturing drawings
Experience with FEA tools including stress, modal, and fatigue analysis
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
10+ years of experience with turbomachinery design
Project Management Experience
Experience designing with Pro/E
