The Electrical Engineer Manager will fuction as a working manager leading a team of programming and software engineers, electrical engineers, and electrical technicians to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions for packaging machinery and automation. Lead technical expertise in research & development, design, new technology, programming, hardware, testing and troubleshooting of packaging equipment. Oversee the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept to testing, installation, and maintenance. You will also collaborate with other managers, customers, and vendors to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our products. Provide strong leadership skills, great communication skills, and high motivation to team and cross functional teams.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in an OEM, integrator, or manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience with programming Allen Bradley PLC’s from scratch
5+ years of experience programming HMI’s from scratch
Experience with leading an engineering team or department
Experience programming Servos or other motion controllers
Experience with electrical design using AutoCAD or Eplan
Experience with equipment testing, troubleshooting, and installation
Experinece with project management including budgeting and scheduling
Strong customer facing skills
BS in Electrical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience working with automated packaging equipment
Experience with programming Siemens PLC’s or HMI’s
Experience with presenting proposals to potential clients
