The EHS Manager leads the plant and associated off-site warehousing to achieve and exceed compliance to local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulation. Holds the overall responsibility for directing the safety and environmental processes and achieves this through coordination with other department managers and employees at company locations to provide a consistent approach to safety and environmental concerns.
Provides technical guidance and support to operations in the resolution of distillery safety issues. Drives a process of continuous improvement by instituting safety goals which are aligned to the company’s objectives and communicating progress against those goals. Develops, implements, and manages company practices to assure safety and security of fellow employees and the distillery.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3+ years of experience with EHS management for any kind of production operation
Experience supervising 2-5 EHS direct reports
Experience analyzing process, job functions, and recommend necessary modifications to improve safety performance and maintain proper equipment operation
Experience providing safety training
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations
BS/BA in anything (EHS preferred)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working in a distillery, protein, or starch plant
Experience with beverage alcohol production
40 hr. HAZWOPER OSHA certification
Certified First Aid/CPR
40-hr. OSHA 511 Course
