The Advanced Material Engineer is an Entry Level position that will assist in the research of new raw materials and processes that will benefit the future product developments. These activities will include the pursuit, analysis, and evaluation of new raw materials that can add benefit to development projects. Based on new materials identified and market trends, help to develop the new processes needed to optimize the use of the materials that can be processed on equipment. They manufacture friction products such as machine brakes and transfer cases for heavy equipment, filtration products such as filters, composites from raw materials and more.
They will be responsible for assisting in the training of employees in the safe use of new materials and process techniques to utilize new materials within the organization. Assist in the training of relative personnel in the safe processing of new materials, new material attributes, as well as training of new techniques to optimize the use of new materials in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable regulatory laws.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Understanding of raw materials and how they are used for manufacturing
Ability to research raw material for manufacturing
ITAR COMPLIANT: Green Cards, Perm Residents, & TN Visas OK
BS in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer/Paper Science OR 5+ experience in R&D or Product Engineering within the paper, nonwoven, or composite fields
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working with friction, filtration, or composites manufacturing
Experience with IATF 16949 requirements
Experience with Process Safety Management
