Electrical Project Lead

Provide electrical discipline support in the construction, installation, debug, and startup of equipment and automated systems including hands-on to the point of turnover to operations at both domestic and international manufacturing sites; majority of time be spent on the floor working on equipment.? 
Supervise and provide direction to internal or contract engineering techs, internal maintenance, and outside contract trades during all aspects of equipment installation and conversion such as demolition, construction, installation, testing, and debug of production equipment.

  • 5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer installation and commissioning of production and automation equipment
  • 5+ years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLC’s
  • 5+ years of HMI troubleshooting and programming
  • 5+ years of experience with installation, construction, debugging, troubleshooting, and startup activity for manufacturing equipment
  • 2+ years of experience 480VAC and below power systems for manufacturing
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time. During deployment phase travel can be 100% of the time. Occassional international travel (China & Poland).

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Experience designing control systems for automated manufacturing equipment

We are seeking a hands-on Project Electrical Engineer to support the installation, modification, and startup of production and automation equipment across domestic and international manufacturing sites. This role is highly collaborative, floor focused, and integral to ensuring safe, efficient, and on time equipment installation and commissioning.

  • 2+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer installation and commissioning of production and automation equipment
  • 2+ years of experience with installation, construction, debugging, troubleshooting, and startup activity for manufacturing equipment
  • 2+ years of experience 480VAC and below power systems for manufacturing
  • Experience use and set-up of machine controls for system analog and digital I/O requirements, control sequence logic, and fail safe states
  • Translates engineering solutions to requirements, then further to process and/or equipment designs which deliver required performance criteria as well as interpreting electrical drawings and schematics to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Strong hands on ability with tools, instruments, and alignment/measurement devices

Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a highly automated fiber optic cable / optical communications manufacturing environment. This person will support plant automation by programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, robotic equipment, VFDs, servos, and process machinery while also helping design and implement new control systems for process improvement, capital expansion, and equipment modernization projects. They will work closely with production, maintenance, junior engineers, and outside integrators from design through installation, startup, and ongoing production support.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
4+ years experience designing control systems for automated manufacturing equipment
4+ years experience programming Allen Bradley PLC’s using ControlLogix V20 or higher
4+ years experience using ladder logic, structured text, and functional block diagrams
Experience programming 6 axis robotic systems like FANUC, ABB, KUKA etc
Experience programming HMI's 
Experience with servo and robotic motion, and vision systems
Experience using AutoCAD 
Experience with installation, commissioning and debugging
BS in Engineering (Electrical Preferred) 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with high volume manufacturing machinery
Experience with extrusion lines,winding/spooling systems, packaging equipment
Experience with SCADA systems 
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
Experience with OSI PI/Aveda PI System (Historian interface)
