The Automation Engineer will be working on configuring, troubleshooting, and programming automated electrical systems in a metals manufacturing environment. This position will include maintenance, equipment upgrades & improvements, and capital projects.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
8+ years of experience as a Automation or Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment
8+ years of experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Experience with HMI development and troubleshooting
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls
Experience with VFD’s, servos, and AC & DC motor controls
Experience with industrial voltages ranging from 120VAC single phase to 480VAC three phase
BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with cold rolled cover milling
Experience with metal tube manufacturing
Experience with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal
Experience with upgrading legacy equipment
