Job Description
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for design, engineering, and programming of a wide range of automation projects and processes. Servicing customers in varying industrial, agricultural, food and dairy, municipal, and OEM sectors.
Required Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in a manufacturing and/or water/wastewater environments
- 2+ years of experience programming a wide variety automated machinery
- 2+ years of experience programming from scratch Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
- 2+ years of experience with servos and motion controllers
- Experience with vision and safety systems
- Experience with industrial network protocols (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNET, ControlNET)
- Strong communications skills (Client facing position)
- Willing to travel
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) OR 10+ years of experience
Desired Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- 10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer
- Project Management experience
- Experience with an Integrator or Automated Machinery/Equipment OEM
- Experience with capital projects and automation equipment commissioning
- Ability to operate interfaces, design controls, write technical control write-ups for automation projects, and train customers
- Experience with any of the following areas: Industrial plants and warehouses, central chilled water and heating plants, water pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, food and dairy plants
