The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for understanding, defining, documenting, and optimizing processes and process parameters for product as well as ensuring manufacturing equipment complies with safety standards. They will work cross functionally with the internal teams including Sales, R&D, Production, Quality, Plant Engineer, Maintenance, and Customer Service. This position requires a forward thinking and creative individual who can think out of the box, see the big pictures, and outline the tactical steps needed to achieve desired result.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
7+ years of experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma priciples
Experience with creating and improving manufacturing processes
Experience with web handling, roll to roll coating (papers, films, or foils), or glass manufacturing
Experience with pumps, mixing equipment, and filtration processes
Experience working with industrial controls such as PLC’s and VFD’s
Experience leading continuous improvement projects
Experince with value stream mapping
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with thermal drying
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Project management experience
Experience with installing and integrating new manufacturing equipment
