The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, design, assemble, and implement tooling/machine and processes necessary to produce new products and enhance existing products. Designs line layout to ensure efficiency. Investigates and resolves production line or tooling/machine design problems. Recommends purchases of capital equipment.. This company makes electro-mechanical devices and cables for the automotive industry.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an automated manufacturing facility
3+ years of experience with manufacturing process development and improvement
Experience with production line design and layout
Experience with production tooling or machine design
Experince with applying lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles including PFMEA
Experience with reading and interpreting equipment blueprints
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience in an automotive supplier manufacturing environment
Experince with PLC programming
Experinece statistical process control (SPC) for production analysis
