The Process Controls Engineer will be working project based on custom OEM cable/wire industrial coiling, reeling, and spooling equipment. The product line they are working on is a wide variety that can be anything from a truck mounted system to an automated spool/cut/ package machine used for manufacturing. Each project will be done to consumer specs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer for manufacturing equipment
5+ years of experience programming Allen Bradley PLC's from scratch
5+ years of experience custom HMI development
Experience designing control panels using AutoCAD or Solidworks
Experience with design and programming of VFD or Servo controls
Experience with network communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, IO Link
Experience with reading or designing hydraulic or pneumatic schematics
Strong working knowledge of NEC and UL standards
Willing to travel up to 35%
BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Siemens PLCs
Experience with RedLion or AllenBradley HMIs
Experience with winding, reeling, or spooling equipment
Mechanical design and troubleshooting experience
Experience programming AllenBradley, Yaskawa, IDEC, Schneider, or Red Lion HMI's
