The Sr. Applications Engineer ideally will be the right hand man to the Facility Operation Director. They will be supporting the sales team by creating technical engineering proposals for gas turbine products that they manufacture which include Auxiliary or Process Skids, Fuel Management Flow Systems, Turbine or Compressor Water Wash Technologies, Power Augmentation Applications, and Electrical Control Systems.
The company has 17 sales reps that generate endless inbound leads for RFQ’s and this person will be dedicated to creating proposals for those leads. Currently the engineering team is handling it, but can’t keep going because it takes away from execution on their current projects.
This person will be primarily focused on the engineering side with no actual selling as they have a sales team of 17 people doing that.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
5+ years of experience with Applications Engineering or Engineering for product development
Experience with gas turbine products or piping and process skid designs
Experience writing technical proposals which include any CAD software design
Experience with ERP systems
Understanding of process skids including parameters, pressure, flow, and external enviornment factors such as amibent temperature
BS in Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Mitsubishi, Siemens, or GE specifications, or other gas turbine OEM’s
Experience with Auxiliary or Process Skids, Fuel Management Flow Systems, Turbine or Compressor Water Wash Technologies, Power Augmentation Applications, and Electrical Control Systems
Experience with EPICOR ERP system
MS in Engineering
Salary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 DOE
