The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will work directly with ownership and senior management, while being the primary point person on technical concerns with customers, internal manufacturing, and subcontracting resources. They are expected to keep pace with the latest technologies and materials available in the field of high reliability electric motors and drivers and contribute significantly to the overall strategic direction and engineering competency of the company.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing electromechanical products
10+ years of experience with design and simulation using Solidworks
5+ years of experience with designing brushless AC/DC motors
5+ years of experience with new product development and introduction
5+ years of experience with project management for product development
Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA)
Experience with tooling and fixture design
BS in Mechanical Engineering
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience with designing electromechanical medical devices
Experience with SimCenter MotorSolve simulation software
Experience with hermetically sealed packages
Experience leading a team of engineers
