The Tooling Engineer position will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to improve the die making process and to improve bolster/retainer quality in and around automation systems and tooling.They are a forging company that makes crankshafts for automobiles and light trucks.
Required Experience
- Co-op or Internship experience within a manufacturing facility
- Comfortable with using 3D Cad for manufacturing/tooling design work
- Knowledge of the tool & die making and die casting process
- Understanding of manufacturing process documentation (control plans, PFMEA, tooling sheet)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment
- BS in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related programs
Desired Experience
- BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with die making or die casting
- Experience with manufacturing process documentation (control plans, PFMEA, tooling sheet)
- Experience with Automotive manufacturing
- Experience using Hexagon CMM
- Experience using NC or Catia
- Experience with tooling design
